Zoll AED plus semi-automatic defibrillator

The semi-automatic Zoll AED Plus is a defibrillator that provides support for chest compressions. It is the only automated external defibrillator (AED) that allows for real-time evaluation of chest compressions. The defibrillator combines written and spoken instructions to guide the rescuer through the steps that can lead to defibrillation and/or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Once the electrodes are applied to the patient, the defibrillator monitors the electrocardiographic rhythm (ECG) of the victim's heart, analyzes this rhythm, and determines whether an electric shock is necessary. If a shock is required, the defibrillation energy is delivered through these electrodes.
