Zimmerli Adaptogene Ashwagandha powder

Ashwagandha root powder (organic) from India. Free from any fillers or separating agents. Origin/Cultivation: India; harvested north of Kanpur on the border with Nepal. History: Ashwagandha has been used as a natural adaptogen for several millennia. The Hindu name is "Asgandh", which can be translated as horse sweat. It is said to give the strength of a horse and an alert mind. Ashwagandha is not yet very widespread in continental Europe, unlike in England, the USA and Australia, where large Indian communities have immigrated and helped the plant to regain popularity in our culture. In India itself, all parts of the plant are utilised, for example the berries are used to make cheese and the twigs are used to clean teeth. However, the roots of the shrub are particularly useful. This Ayurvedic plant is becoming increasingly popular due to its invigorating and calming effect. Recommended intake (as a dietary supplement): Boil 2 g daily with milk (or herbal alternative) and sweeten with honey or sugar. Withanoloids: The natural proportion of withanoloids varies between 2.5 % and 5.0 %. Recommended duration of intake: 3 months.
