UrgoTül Gazewound Dressings 15x20cm (5 pcs)

UrgoTül is a product based on lipid colloid technology developed by Laboratoires URGO. UrgoTül is a sterile, flexible, non-occlusive lipid colloid gauze dressing. It consists of a network of polyester fibers soaked in hydrocolloid particles (carboxymethylcellulose), paraffin, petroleum jelly, and polymers. In combination with wound exudate, the hydrocolloid particles gel and, together with the petroleum jelly, form a lipid colloid barrier between the wound and the dressing. This creates favorable conditions for the healing process (healing in a moist environment). Due to its composition, UrgoTül does not adhere to the wound or the wound edges, allowing for painless, atraumatic changes without disturbing the healing process.

Because UrgoTül is highly adaptable and flexible, the gauze dressing is also suitable for covering irregular wounds, treating difficult areas, and tamponading deep wounds. UrgoTül is covered with a secondary dressing.

Application:

UrgoTül should be changed every 2 to 4 days, depending on the level of exudation and the healing condition of the wound. In the treatment of venous leg ulcers, UrgoTül can be left on the wound for up to 7 days when used with a compression system. For wound treatments resulting from epidermolysis bullosa, the dressing should be changed every 1 to 3 days.

Indications:

Acute wounds (burns, abrasions, postoperative and traumatic wounds) and chronic wounds (ulcus cruris, pressure ulcers, wounds resulting from diabetic foot syndrome) in the granulation and epithelialization phases, wounds resulting from the genetic disorder epidermolysis bullosa.
