Keep calm, tilt your head forward and blow your nose properly to remove any blood clots, open the Stop Hémo cotton wool bag and roll the cotton wool lengthwise into a tight pen. The cotton wool can be impregnated with a physiological serum to facilitate insertion into the nostril, insert Stop Hémo cotton wool, then press the two nostrils together for 10 minutes and remain still, then leave the cotton wool in the nose for 20 to 30 minutes before carefully removing it. Use the bag to throw the cotton wool away. If the cotton wool has stayed in the nose too long, simply moisten it with physiological serum to facilitate its removal.

Instructions for use | Nosebleeds (epistaxis): - Tilt your head forwards and blow your nose gently to remove any blood clots. - Open the bag along the line. Roll Stop Hémo into a compact stick. Stop Hémo can be moistened with a NaCl 0.9% saline solution only to facilitate insertion into the nostril. - Insert Stop Hémo into the nostril and press both nostrils closed for 10 minutes. - Leave Stop Hémo in the nose for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours. Use the bag for disposal. Bleeding in the mouth / tooth extraction (lips, gums, tongue,...): - Place Stop Hémo on the wound and remove as soon as the bleeding has stopped. Skin wounds (bleeding and/or healing: - Clean the injury with soap or water (or with a saline solution NaCl 0.9%), apply Stop Hémo to the wound and: - remove after haemostasis, or - leave on the wound to heal and remove after 24 hours. If bleeding persists, seek medical advice. When removing, do not attempt to remove any fibres that may remain in the wound; these will disappear automatically with the crust. Stop Hémo can be used with lidocaine-naphazoline. |
