Textile orthosis for the carpometacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joints of the thumb. Features a moldable aluminum insert and a closure system with slip prevention.

Indications:

  • Osteoarthritis of the radial wrist and MCP 1
  • "Smartphone thumb"
  • Conservative/postoperative treatment for thumb and finger
  • Moderate to advanced rhizarthrosis with significant subluxation with/without hypermobility of the thumb saddle joint
  • After thumb joint fractures
  • De Quervain's tenosynovitis
  • Injuries, ligament instabilities in the area of the carpometacarpal/metacarpophalangeal joints of the thumb (e.g., skier's thumb)

Function/Technique:

  • Preservation of grip function
  • Limitation of freedom of movement in the wrist
  • Stabilization of the carpometacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joints of the thumb
  • Anatomically moldable aluminum insert
  • Circular strap with forearm loop and lock to prevent slipping
