Natural aftershave with skin-toning and revitalising witch hazel extract. A refreshingly tangy fragrance composition with Speick from controlled organic wild harvesting, essential oils, lavender and menthol revitalises the senses. Especially after wet shaving, it moisturises stressed facial skin and supports the skin's own hydro-lipid balance. Without preservatives and colourants.

All Speick products contain the valuable extract of the wild-growing, high alpine medicinal plant Speick (lat. Valeriana celtica; certified as a controlled organic wild collection). Speick has a calming effect on the central nervous system and at the same time stimulates the autonomic nervous system. Speick relaxes without making you tired and revitalises body and mind. The alpine natural cycle supplies the Speick plant with special nutrients via the root.

The harmonising, balancing healing powers of Speick unfold through its precious oil. This is obtained by gently extracting whole plants. Today, Speick is almost exclusively native to the Nockberge Biosphere Reserve in Carinthia. The conditions there are ideal for the plant: low-lime, acidic soil at treeless altitudes from around 1800 metres.

The delicate, small plant grows to a maximum height of 15 centimetres. The flowers are pale yellow in colour, so the Speick does not stand out visually from the abundance of alpine flora. However, the characteristic scent is noticeable, especially when the leaves of the plant turn yellow from August/September.

For the alpine farming families with a harvesting licence, the Speick harvest is an important source of additional income to the otherwise rather meagre alpine farming.
