Preoperative full-body decontamination

Usage

Octenisan Wash Lotion (up to 5 days, once daily):

  • Completely wet hair and body.
  • Apply the wash lotion undiluted to a damp and fresh washcloth.
  • Evenly apply the wash lotion over the entire body, paying special attention to the armpits. Observe a contact time of 1 minute.
  • Rinse thoroughly. Dry off with a fresh towel.
  • Each time: Put on fresh clothing. Not suitable for children under 3 years.

Octenisan md Nasal Gel (up to 5 days, twice daily):

  • Apply sufficient nasal gel to a cotton swab.
  • Apply the gel to the surfaces of the nasal vestibules.
  • Distribute the gel by gently pinching the nostrils together. Remove any excess gel. Octenisan md Nasal Gel should not be inserted too deeply into the nose. Not suitable for children under 1 year.

Octenisan Wash Lotion: Aqua, Cocamidopropylamine Oxide, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Lactic Acid, Octenidine HCl, Allantoin.octenisan md Nasal Gel: Purified water, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Octenidine HCI.
Instructions for use
The octenisan® set can be given to the patient before the operation or recommended for private purchase at the pharmacy. The patient should use octenisan® wash lotion and octenisan® md nasal gel up to 5 days before the operation. octenisan® wash lotion (once a day for up to 5 days): - Moisten hair and body completely. - Apply the wash lotion undiluted to a damp and fresh flannel. - Apply the wash lotion evenly to the entire body. Pay particular attention to the armpits. Allow a contact time of 1 minute. - Wash off thoroughly. Dry with a fresh towel. - Each time: Put on fresh clothing. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age. octenisan® md nasal gel (twice daily for up to 5 days): - Apply sufficient nasal gel to a cotton wool pad. - Apply the gel to the areas of the nasal vestibules. - Spread the gel by pressing the sides of the nostrils together. Remove any excess gel. octenisan® md nasal gel must not be applied too deeply into the nose. Not suitable for children under 1 year of age.
