Questions about Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000

I can only advise against the Philips Sonicare toothbrushes. I have had 5 replacements since 2019. The last one has now lasted just 4 months and the mechanics are on the blink. New handpieces will not charge with old chargers! Mechanics have failed 4 times, 1 time it was the battery.

Not a question, more a comment. It was recommended to me by a dentist, who immediately gave me a golden tip that saved me money. Be sure to remove the chip (at the bottom of the brush head). After a certain time, the brush only provides 1 stroke of power! The chip in the brush head communicates with the body. If you remove it, you will have endless pleasure, clean teeth and neither a hole in your wallet nor in your tooth. I have my brush head for an average of 6-12 months. (No problem according to the dentist! As long as you don't press like a wild man, which you don't have to do here).

I have been using the Sonicare Diamond Clean series for 6 years - I am now on my 3rd defect, one of which was replaced by Philipps. The company's attitude to these incidents is unbelievable: 3x this product has stopped working after 23 to 25 months. The advice of the support is very simple - buy the warranty extension as well, the toothbrush cannot be repaired. To that extent, I was offered a 25% discount code - but I have to buy a new unit. This is a high-end product! However, the company doesn't give a ... The company doesn't give a damn about environmental protection and only knows how to respond to the objection that the battery is an environmental burden: just buy a new one, this time with an extended warranty.

I bought the toothbrush 1.5 years ago. Now the pin at the front is loose. Could it be that only one screw could be tightened? Does anyone know how to open the toothbrush?

A question about the warranty and the extension to five years: are damaged batteries and loss of performance covered? Does the warranty also cover the replacement device? I ask because I have already bought a Sonicare DiamondClean three times (!) + received a replacement unit. And four times, more or less after the warranty expired, either the battery or the brush head was defective (as soon as the brush touches the teeth, it hardly moves... even a manual toothbrush is more effective then). If the toothbrush works perfectly, it is worth the money. But the fact that it doesn't even last 1-2 years without problems at a price of 165 - 200 CHF is actually almost bordering on fraud. And it's a little hard for me to believe that I've simply had bad luck four times. That's why I'd like to know if the two problems I mentioned, which apparently don't just happen to me on a regular basis, are covered by the extended warranty and if I don't have to worry about something like this happening again for five years?

Are there actually no more models with the UV station for the brush?

I just want a new toothbrush as I already have a glass for charging. Is this possible

Is the charging case also available to buy separately?

Does the travel case supplied with the Philips Diamond Clean 9000 (currently CHF 158) have a USB adapter connection, as the picture suggests?

Does the toothbrush really weigh 500 grams?

The battery no longer charges. The warranty has expired (bought 4 years ago), so it is not worth repairing it. Is it possible to buy just the toothbrush, possibly another model that is compatible with the chargers?

We already have a Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 and would now like to buy a second one. Question: is the charging glass compatible with both devices? I would like to avoid a "tangle of cables" if possible.

I've had this toothbrush for 1 year. I have an important question about the functions of the brush. Does anyone know if the 4 modes ("clean.white+.gum.health.deep.clean") really change anything if you use them with the same head? Or are they only useful if you have all the heads corresponding to the mode? I'll illustrate my question: I have W2 (optimal.white) and C3 (plaque.defence) heads. Is there any point in varying the brushing modes? Should I stay on .white+. with the W2 and on .clean. with the C3? Will the brush brush differently if I put the W2 head on the .deep.clean. mode, or should I just put it on the .white+. mode? And the .gum.health. mode, will it change the brushing done by the W2 and C3 heads, or would it only be useful if I had a G3 (gume.care) head??? It seems to me that this is an important subject, but I haven't found any information yet!

On 'promo' at Galaxus with 30.00 cashback, but once on the Philips site: no cashback link! 1 hour wasted searching in all directions on their site, I called the telephone support (Swiss number) but then I had to contact Sertronics... In short, it's not a win-win situation. I really have the impression that this type of offer is just to get the fish to swim. :(

Hello all The brush complains at the slightest pressure. It is clear that it should only glide over the teeth. Is this the case or is my model defective?

Can I somehow get just the toothbrush without the charging station etc.? Because if it breaks, I don't have to get all the accessories again because I already own them...

Best toothbrush ever, but defective after 24mths and the new one doesn't charge in the old glass. A bit of compatibility among the devices would be no saich.

Does the DiamondClean 9000 have a visual warning when pressed too hard? If not, which models have this function? Somehow the features of the Philips toothbrushes are very unclearly declared.

Will the new 9000 fit into the small charging glass of the old version? Pictured in photo 2 in the link above. The small station is enough for me, as I don't feel like setting up the huge otherwise useless jar or constantly taking out the travel case.
