I had the same idea at the time and ordered the initial parts directly from the Beaun homepage/shop. Unfortunately: create account, costs half as much as a new complete device
The main difference between the Silk-épil 9 (225229) and the 9-006 (124.-) is the accessories and features included. The 225229 model includes 40 tweezers, is battery-powered, can be used in wet and dry mode, and comes with several accessories: cleaning brush, charging cable, mini shaver, shaving head and storage case. The 9-006 model, often offered at a lower price, may have a different or less complete configuration of accessories, which explains the price difference. Both models belong to the same Silk-épil 9 range, but the 225229 offers a version with more options and accessories for more versatile use.
Due to different purchasing conditions and changing suppliers over a certain period of time, there may be price changes / fluctuations. We generally work with daily prices.
Quite frankly I've never used the add-ons. Plus brushes will not last long (not very hygienic to use them for more than a couple of months maybe). I'd say buy it without them... And the face thingy ripped off my skin so that's one I'd never use again
I ordered it for my wife so I don't know first hand :-) But basically: it's exactly the same machine. The only difference is the accessories included. From what I hear, she's doing the same (removing the hair of the face) plus doing a foot treatment. And she does that with the base model.
So I'd say you can get this one, and if you think it's needed you can always order the accessories later.
Hope that helps!
