Proclear Multifocal Toric by Coopervision are soft monthly contact lenses made from Omafilcon A with a water content of 59%. They are designed to correct both astigmatism (corneal curvature) and presbyopia (age-related vision loss) simultaneously. While astigmatism can occur at any age, presbyopia is caused by a decreasing flexibility of the eye's lens and typically becomes noticeable from the age of 40 to 50. Individuals affected by both types of vision impairment not only see distant objects out of focus but also find nearby objects appear blurry or distorted. The Proclear Multifocal Toric lenses restore clear vision at all distances, contributing to a comfortable daily life.
With the XR series, Coopervision expands the available correction range, allowing even those with severe vision impairment to benefit from the innovative Proclear product line. The Proclear Multifocal Toric lenses contain the bionic substance phosphorylcholine, which is completely tissue-compatible and commonly used in medicine. Thanks to the special properties of the biocompatible material, the lenses are very well tolerated and do not cause a foreign body sensation. A unique manufacturing process bonds water molecules with the lens material, creating a natural resistance to drying out. As a result, the contact lenses are very comfortable to wear and remain moist and lubricated even during extended wear.
Proclear Multifocal Toric lenses can be worn during the day and are easy to clean, as dirt particles and proteins hardly adhere to the non-ionic lens surface. The monthly lenses only need to be replaced every 30 days.
