Instructions for use | Rectal application: Normally used for small children where it is difficult to take a temperature in the mouth or armpit. Lubricate the clinical thermometer with a non-irritating, skin-friendly gel. Do not push the measuring tip further than 1.3 cm into the rectum. If there is resistance, do not force the tip into the rectum. Disinfect the clinical thermometer after use. Oral use (from the age of four): The mouth should remain closed for 5 minutes before reading the measurement. Place the clinical thermometer in the mouth under the tongue so that it rests to the left or right of the root of the tongue. Applications in the armpit (axillary): Place the measuring tip in the centre of the armpit. Fix the measuring tip under the arm by pressing lightly inwards. |
