Carboxymethylcellulose additionally binds moisture and adheres to the epithelial cells of the cornea, ensuring particularly long-lasting hydration. Thanks to the depot effect, the combination of active ingredients forms a fine network structure on the eye, encapsulating Ectoin and allowing for its gradual release.
