Gauze compresses
Product description and intended use:
Non-sterile packaged 8-ply gauze dressings made of 17-thread gauze, size 10 cm x 10 cm per 100 pieces, with cut edges folded inwards. The gauze dressings are used for general first aid treatment of wounds, wound cleansing, wound covering and for absorbing blood and body fluids. The gauze dressings are intended for single use and must be sterilised before use on open wounds using a validated procedure (moist heat according to DIN EN ISO 17665, radiation according to DIN EN ISO 11137 or ethylene oxide according to DIN EN ISO 11135).
Contraindications:
There are no known contraindications unless there is an allergy to cotton.

Normative and legal requirements:
The gauze dressings are Class I, Rule 4 medical devices in accordance with the MPG, Directive 93/42/EEC and MDR (EU) 2017/745. The gauze dressings fulfil the requirements of DIN EN 14079. According to the European standard EN ISO 10993-1 "Biological evaluation of medical devices", the gauze pads are medical devices that come into contact with body surfaces (skin and mucous membranes) and are classified with contact duration A (less than 24 h). The product does not contain any hazardous toxic substances according to REACH. It bears CE and DIN EN ISO 15223-1 and EN 1041 labelling on all packaging levels.

Storage:
Dry and dust-free.
Sterilise before use.
