Mepitel is a gentle, double-sided adhesive wound contact layer with Saftex – the original silicone adhesive contact layer that minimizes pain during dressing changes. It gently adheres to the skin without sticking to the moist wound, allowing for easy removal of the dressing without damaging the skin. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients. Thanks to its perforated design, wound exudate drains into a secondary absorbent dressing. You can leave the dressing on the wound and easily perform topical treatments. Due to the integrity of the wound dressing, dressing changes are less frequently required, and secondary dressings can be changed without disrupting the healing process. The open structure of Mepitel allows for the application of topical ointments to the wound when clinically indicated.

Mepitel with Safetac protects both the wound and the surrounding skin. According to clinical studies, Mepitel is suitable for a wide range of wounds, including skin tears, abrasions, sutured wounds, second-degree burns, lacerations and cuts, superficial and deep skin graft wounds, diabetic ulcers, as well as venous and arterial ulcers. Mepitel can also be used as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds, blisters, fragile skin, and exposed fragile tissue.
