Mepitel Wundauflage

Mepitel is a gentle, double-sided adhesive wound spacer mesh with Safetac, the original contact layer with silicone adhesion that minimises pain when changing dressings. It lies gently on the skin without sticking to the moist wound, so you can easily remove the dressing without damaging the skin. This makes dressing changes less painful for your patients. Safetac also protects the new tissue as well as the intact skin, so the wound remains undisturbed and the natural healing process is supported. The wound edges are also sealed to protect the skin from damaging leaks and maceration. Thanks to the perforated design, the wound exudate drains into a secondary absorbent dressing. You can leave the dressing on the wound and easily apply topical treatments. Thanks to the integrity of the dressing, dressing changes are less frequent and secondary dressings can be changed without disrupting the healing process. Truly undisturbed healing - can remain on the wound for up to 14 days. It has been clinically proven that scalds heal faster with Mepitel than with silver sulphadiazine. Leaves no residue and retains its functional properties permanently. Thanks to its transparency, you can immediately assess the healing process without having to remove the spacer mesh.
