Each Mepilex wound dressing is equipped with Safetac – the original contact layer with silicone adhesion that minimizes pain during dressing changes. Safetac also seals the wound edges to protect the skin from harmful leakage and maceration.

Mepilex is extremely versatile due to its many available sizes and shapes. You can easily cut a Mepilex foam dressing to fit a specific application, for example, when treating wounds in hard-to-dress areas of the body.

Instructions for use
Mepilex is intended for a wide range of slightly to moderately exuding wounds. You can easily customise Mepilex by cutting it to fit a specific wound or body part. This makes it perfect for hard to dress areas of the body. You can use Mepilex together with our Tubifast™ fixation. Always clean the wound before applying the dressing. The dressing must cover the wound bed and at least 2 cm of the surrounding skin. Use Tubifast if fixation is required.
