Mepilex Safetac XT

Mepilex XT foam dressing is designed for moderately exuding wounds. It can retain larger amounts of fluid and absorbs fluid faster than other foam dressings. It is conformable and versatile - you can use it to treat wounds with normal and viscous exudate during all phases of wound healing. Mepilex XT contains the Safetac wound contact layer. Dressings with Safetac cause less damage to the wound and skin during dressing changes, this is clinically proven . Maceration is prevented by sealing the wound edges. Less damage to wound and skin means less pain during dressing changes. -Can absorb more fluid than other foam dressings -Absorbs fluid faster than other foam dressings. -For low and high viscosity exudate - so you can use the dressing at any stage of wound healing of exuding wounds -Can be worn longer, resulting in fewer dressing changes and therefore better compliance and lower cost of care.
