Mepilex Border Sacrum Foam Dressing 16x20 cm (5 pieces)
The Mepilex Border Sacrum is a five-layer foam dressing designed for the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers and sacral wounds. It features proprietary Deep Defense Technology, which has been shown to prevent the formation of pressure ulcers when used in conjunction with standard prevention protocols. This dressing is suitable for moderately to heavily exuding sacral wounds and effectively absorbs and retains exudate while maintaining an appropriate moisture balance to prevent tissue maceration.
The improved design includes new tabs and thicker edges for quicker application and patient assessment. The sacral shape has been optimized to ensure better coverage of the high-risk sacral area, with enhanced sealing in the gluteal cleft for maximum protection. Additionally, the dressing incorporates Safetac technology, which features a silicone adhesive that minimizes pain during dressing changes and ensures comfort and adaptability to the patient's anatomy. It can be easily removed without damaging the skin, making the dressing change less painful for the patient.

Instructions for use | Use Mepilex Border Sacrum for moderately to heavily exuding wounds in the sacral area, e.g. pressure sores or surgical removal of pilonidal cysts. The dressing maintains a moist wound environment, which can support debridement. The wound may therefore initially enlarge. This is normal and should be expected. |
