Medihoney Medical Honey

Composition: 1 g bee honey, standardized, antibacterial (Mel apis standard. antibact.)

Indications: Antibacterial medical honey promotes wound healing in deep wounds and/or wound pockets, and aids in the debridement of necrotic wounds. Medihoney antibacterial wound gel is suitable for wounds (including surgical wounds), burns, and ulcers.

Contraindications: None known.

Dosage:

Medihoney antibacterial medical honey: For deep wounds, directly apply to the wound bed in an approximately 3 mm layer thickness; possibly soak suitable dressing material with the medical honey. Cover with a second absorbent dressing. Leave the medical honey on the wound for up to 7 days, depending on the amount of wound secretion present.

Medihoney antibacterial wound gel: For wounds, burns, and ulcers, directly apply to the wound bed in an approximately 3 mm layer thickness; cover with non-adherent dressing material. Cover with a second absorbent dressing. Leave the wound gel on the wound for up to 7 days, depending on the amount of wound secretion present.
