Unlike traditional oxidative hair colors that are water-based, Matrix Color Insider is oil-based. This oil system optimizes the efficiency of the hair coloring process and simplifies the penetration of active ingredients into the hair fiber. Matrix Color Insider uses a lower percentage of MEA (Monoethanolamine) as an alkaline agent. Unlike ammonia, MEA has no strong odor.
