Lockhart's Unorthodox Water Based Goon Grease

Steve Lockhart has worked on this formulation for a long time. The pomade combines the flexibility and combability of an oil-based pomade with the easy washability of a water-based pomade. Handling is typically very simple with water-based systems, allowing the pomade to be removed from the jar without resistance. The consistency is soft and smooth, somewhat different from most gel pomades. It blends effortlessly, ideally into slightly damp hair. The pomade does not harden but remains flexible and workable throughout the day. Due to the oil content, the hair feels pleasantly cared for after washing. The shine is on the higher end; initially very strong, it diminishes throughout the day but remains in the upper mid-range, similar to most water-based pomades.
