The thinner hydrocolloid dressing with lower absorption capacity is designed for use during the epithelialization phase of the wound healing process. It is suitable for moist wound treatment of clinically non-infected, lightly to moderately exuding wounds, particularly wounds with a low healing tendency. In the presence of devitalized tissue, Hydrocoll facilitates autolytic debridement by creating a moist interface between the wound and the dressing. Hydrocoll Thin is generally applied to wounds that are dry or contain little exudate.
