Atrauman Silicone is a wound contact layer made from a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) mesh as a carrier material, coated on both sides with silicone gel (based on polydimethylsiloxane). This wound contact layer is designed for atraumatic wound treatment and is thin, soft, customizable, and drapeable. Its open mesh structure allows for permeability to exudate. It adheres gently and securely to dry surfaces, but not to moist ones, thereby preventing adherence to the wound.

Atrauman Silicone is a wound contact layer that:

  • is used for the treatment of superficial acute and chronic wounds of all types with light to moderate exudate.
  • serves as a protective layer on non-exuding wounds and on areas with sensitive skin.
  • is intended for use in conjunction with the Vivano negative pressure wound therapy system.
