Hydrofilm is a sterile, self-adhesive transparent dressing designed to protect against the penetration of bacteria, external contaminants, and mechanical irritation. It is used for dry or only lightly exuding, primarily healing wounds, nearly healed epithelializing wounds, as well as for securing wound dressings, catheters, and cannulas. Additional use of Hydrofilm includes serving as a sealing element in negative pressure wound therapy with the Vivano System.
