The Pütter bandage is made of 100% pure cotton, allowing it to be stretched up to about 90%. It is suitable for very strong compressions in cases such as acute or chronic venous stasis edema, which often require frequent reapplication of the bandages. The robust fabric creates a very strong compression with high working pressure and correspondingly lower resting pressure. Its impact on decongestion is significant, as it also reaches the deep veins.
