Apply a heat protection spray all over the hair and brush through well. Remember that your hair must be dry before you put it on the curling iron. If the hair is damp or even wet, it can burn. If your curling iron has a temperature control, select the right temperature for your hair type. For fine hair, this is 160 to 180 degrees, thick hair can withstand temperatures of 180 to 220 degrees.
