Product details
HANSAPLAST Scar Reduction is a transparent, self-adhesive plaster made of polyurethane. Products made from this material have been used for years in professional wound care. The plasters do not contain any active ingredients (pharmaceuticals) that can cause side effects. They are a safe and efficient way to effectively reduce raised and coloured hypertrophic scars or keloid scars.
They are easy to use, applicable to new and old scars, transparent, perfect for visible areas of the body, flexible and breathable for comfort, suitable for sensitive skin and waterproof.
How does the HANSAPLAST scar plaster work?
The transparent polyurethane plaster forms a semi-occlusive barrier that improves the moisture content of the scar tissue. At the same time, it leads to an increase in temperature in the scar tissue. This helps to activate the skin's own regeneration process and supports the remodelling of the scar.
