The Abbott FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus Sensor is an advanced blood glucose monitoring device designed for continuous monitoring of blood sugar levels over a period of 15 days. This Class IIb medical product allows for precise measurement of blood glucose in the range of 1.1 to 35 mmol/L. The sensor is compatible with an app that enables easy and user-friendly data analysis. Thanks to innovative technology, blood sampling is unnecessary, as the sensor does not require any blood volume to provide accurate readings. This makes it a practical solution for individuals who need to regularly monitor their blood sugar levels.

Instructions for use | Find a suitable location for the sensor and prepare the skin for application. Different skin conditions, whether oily, moist or hairy, can affect the adhesion of the sensor. The following tips can be used to prepare the application site. To avoid discomfort or skin irritation, you should choose a different site than the last application. - Upper arm: Only apply the FreeStyle Libre sensor to the back of the upper arm. - Smooth skin area: The skin on the back of the upper arm should normally remain taut and smooth during daily activities. - Avoid unsuitable areas: Avoid areas of skin with scars, moles, stretch marks or swelling. - Change skin area regularly: When changing the sensor, select a different house site or change the back of the upper arm. Attach the sensor: Wash the application site with plain soap, dry the area and then clean the area with a non-greasy alcohol wipe. Allow the area to air dry (do not blow) before proceeding. Carefully unwrap the FreeStyle Libre Sensor Applicator and twist off the cap. Place the sensor applicator over the prepared area and press it firmly onto the skin. When attaching the sensor to the body, a thin, flexible, sterile filament is pushed directly under the skin. Carefully pull the sensor applicator away from the body. The sensor should now adhere to the skin. |
