Instead of absorbing the fluid, the menstrual cup collects the blood. This keeps the mucous membranes supple and healthy, just as nature intended. Instead of changing and throwing away, you empty the cup, wash it out and reinsert it.

The Period Cup is folded and inserted into the lower part of the vagina. It fits snugly behind the pubic bone and is barely noticeable. When you release it, it pops open. This creates a slight vacuum which, together with the pressure of the vaginal muscles, holds the menstrual cup in place.
