Duramax S silicone superabsorbent is a wound dressing designed for the treatment of heavily exuding wounds. Duramax S can absorb large amounts of exudate and can be removed atraumatically due to its silicone contact layer. It can also be used under compression, which is particularly beneficial for this indication, as a phlebological compression bandage is often applied to support venous return. Duramax S is especially well-suited for conditions such as venous leg ulcers. A venous leg ulcer is a chronic wound located on the lower leg resulting from chronic venous insufficiency.

Duramax S wound dressings are also indicated for other strongly odorous wounds with very high exudation. This includes diabetic foot syndrome, which is usually chronic and requires ongoing treatment, as well as all forms of arterial ulcers resulting from inadequate blood supply. Additionally, second-degree burns, which are accompanied by blistering and severe pain, can be optimally kept moist and treated painlessly with Duramax S, as this wound dressing does not adhere to the wound bed.
