The blade material carbon steel (also known as carbon steel) is a particularly hard metal. This non-stainless material requires more careful maintenance compared to a blade made of stainless steel. Blades made of non-stainless steel must be carefully dried after rinsing with cold water, especially around the edge, which is the narrowest part of the blade. It is important to ensure that the storage does not occur in a damp place, as this could, in extreme cases, promote the formation of surface rust. Additionally, care should be taken not to store the razor in an unventilated area. If not used for an extended period, the blade should be coated with acid-free oil.
