The non-stainless carbon steel blade with gold embossing provides the highest sharpness but requires more attention in maintenance than a razor with a stainless blade. The handle scales are made of exquisite ebony with a golden pattern. There is no universal rule for keeping razors sharp. In some cases, a light stropping on the palm may be sufficient to realign the blade, especially if it has been resting for several days.
