The newly developed rewetting solution "lens&amplid" is highly compatible and protects the contact lens from contamination during wear. The optimized formulation reduces the deposition of cell debris and other components of the tear film on the surface of the contact lens. Contaminations of contact lenses can occur during wear and can be felt as uncomfortable. A re-cleaning of these lenses by removing them is often not possible while wearing them. Therefore, a continuous mild cleaning effect is desirable to improve the compatibility of contact lenses, especially for problematic eyes.
