Comfeel Plus hydrocolloid dressings provide a moist wound healing environment and protect the wound in the final stages of wound healing. The outer film is water and bacteria repellent to protect the wound from external influences and smooth to reduce friction. The semi-permeable outer film allows moisture to evaporate while maintaining a moist wound healing environment. Application: Comfeel Plus hydrocolloid dressing is indicated for a wide range of low to moderate exuding wounds. The dressings are indicated for chronic wounds such as leg ulcers and pressure sores as well as acute wounds such as superficial burns, superficial second-degree burns, extraction sites, post-operative wounds and skin abrasions. The dressing can be worn for up to 7 days depending on the specific characteristics of the wound. Comfeel Plus can be used as a primary and secondary dressing. When the dressing comes into contact with the wound exudate, it forms a viscous gel that absorbs the exudate but does not stick to the wound bed. Excess moisture evaporates through the semi-permeable outer film.
