Burnfree wound dressings have been designed for effective initial treatment of burn injuries of all types and severities. They feature a soft, open-cell foam carrier system that is saturated with Burnfree gel. The dressings are sterile, lightweight, and easy to carry, flexible enough to conform to all body contours, and contain an ideal amount of viscous gel. They can be easily prepared or adjusted on-site for specific situations – even without the use of cutting tools (e.g., slits for facial injuries, openings for intubations). Additionally, they are non-adherent and do not shed fibers or particles that could embed in the wound.
