The highly absorbent foam dressing with a silicone adhesive edge combines the effective exudate management of Cutimed Siltec with the active ingredient-free bacteria-binding effect of Cutimed Sorbact. Thanks to the purely physical principle of action, Cutimed Sorbact binds and removes bacteria without releasing antimicrobial agents (Sorbact technology). The special Sorbact coating gives the product strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Many pathogenic bacteria and fungi are hydrophobic by nature and therefore bind to the Sorbact fabric. This reduces the number of germs in the wound with each dressing change and creates optimum conditions for the natural wound healing process.

• No known mechanisms for bacteria or fungi to develop resistance to Cutimed Sorbact.
