The highly absorbent foam dressing with a silicone adhesive border combines the effective exudate management of Cutimed Siltec with the active ingredient-free bacteria-binding effect of Cutimed Sorbact. Thanks to its purely physical mode of action, Cutimed Sorbact binds and removes bacteria without releasing antimicrobial agents. The special Sorbact coating gives the product strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Many pathogenic bacteria and fungi are naturally hydrophobic and thus adhere to the Sorbact fabric. This reduces the microbial load in the wound with each dressing change and creates optimal conditions for the natural wound healing process.

Instructions for use | Cutimed® Siltec® Sorbact® B is suitable for all clean, colonised, contaminated or infected wounds and is used for moderately to heavily exuding wounds or for the prophylaxis of wounds at risk of infection: - chronic wounds (e.g. venous, arterial or diabetic ulcers and pressure ulcers) - post-operative wounds and wound dehiscences - traumatic wounds - Wounds after excision of fistulas and abscesses - Fungal skin infections Changing the dressing: Should be changed when it is visibly soaked with wound secretions. |
