The highly absorbent foam dressing with a silicone adhesive edge combines the effective exudate management of Cutimed Siltec with the bacteria-binding effect of Cutimed Sorbact, which is free from active ingredients. Thanks to its purely physical principle of action, Cutimed Sorbact binds and removes bacteria without releasing antimicrobial agents (Sorbact technology). The special Sorbact coating provides strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Many pathogenic bacteria and fungi are hydrophobic by nature and therefore bind to the Sorbact fabric. This reduces the number of germs in the wound with each dressing change and creates optimal conditions for the natural wound healing process.

Cutimed Siltec Sorbact B is suitable for all clean, colonized, contaminated, or infected wounds and is used for moderately to heavily exuding wounds or for the prophylaxis of wounds at risk of infection:

• Chronic wounds (e.g., venous, arterial, or diabetic ulcers and pressure ulcers)
• Post-operative wounds and wound dehiscences
• Traumatic wounds
• Wounds after excision of fistulas and abscesses
• Fungal skin infections

Changing the dressing: Should be changed when it is visibly soaked with wound secretions.
