The innovative wound dressing combines the effective exudate management of Cutimed Siltec with the substance-free antimicrobial action of Cutimed Sorbact. Based on hydrophobic interaction and without the use of chemical substances (Sorbact principle), germs are bound and inactivated from the wound. The special coating with DACC (Dialkylcarbamoylchloride) gives Cutimed Siltec Sorbact strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Pathogenic bacteria and fungi are naturally hydrophobic and therefore bind irreversibly to the wound dressing. With each dressing change, the germ count in the wound is reduced, creating optimal conditions for the natural wound healing process.

At the same time, the foam body and integrated superabsorbents of Cutimed Siltec Sorbact ensure vertical absorption of exudate. The highly breathable film reduces the risk of maceration in moderately to heavily exuding wounds. A skin-friendly silicone adhesive border ensures gentle fixation and atraumatic dressing changes. Cutimed Siltec Sorbact offers special advantages:

Application

Cutimed Siltec Sorbact is suitable for all unclean, contaminated, or infected wounds and is used for moderately to heavily exuding wounds or for the prophylaxis of infection-prone wounds:

• Chronic wounds (e.g., venous, arterial, or diabetic ulcers as well as pressure sores).
• Postoperative wounds and wound dehiscences.
• Traumatic wounds.
• Wounds after excision of fistulas and abscesses.
• Skin fungal infections.

Duration of use

Depending on the indication, a maximum of three days.
