Cutimed Sorbact is an innovative, physically acting wound dressing that combats infections safely and effectively without chemical additives. The special Sorbact coating utilizes the principle of hydrophobic interaction: since many pathogenic bacteria and fungi are also hydrophobic, they bind irreversibly to the wound dressing. This reliably removes germs with each dressing change – completely free of active substance burden on the body.

Due to its purely physical mode of action, there are no developments of resistance or allergic reactions. Additionally, Cutimed Sorbact prevents the release of endotoxins, promoting the natural healing process. The tamponade form is particularly suitable for deeper or hard-to-reach wounds. Cutimed Sorbact can be used without concern for an extended period – even for chronic or infection-prone wounds.
