The easily soluble whey granulate from BIOSANA is particularly suitable as a thirst quencher and as a breakfast drink. The whey produced during cheese making essentially contains five groups of substances: carbohydrates (milk sugar 75%), proteins (13%), minerals (8%), water (3%), and fat (1%). Milk sugar (lactose) is considered a valuable sugar substance that is split into glucose and galactose upon absorption in the body. This creates a good foundation for the development of beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract. The whey proteins are of very high quality and have maximum biological availability (albumin and globulin). Additionally, the proteins contained in whey are structured in such a way that they include eight important essential amino acids (isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine). Calcium is an essential mineral for the formation of bones and teeth. Magnesium is crucial for normal muscle function and energy metabolism. The low fat content of whey also contributes to its good tolerability (practically casein and fat-free!). The slightly yellowish color of whey is due to the presence of riboflavin (lactoflavin) = vitamin B2, which comes from the milk and is still present in the whey.
