Axapharm AO8 Blood Pressure Monitor for the Upper Arm. Before the cuff is inflated, the device determines a cuff pressure equivalent for the air pressure. Based on pressure fluctuations, the device decides on the inflation pressure and then performs a pressure release of the cuff. During the pressure release, the device detects the amplitude and slopes of the pressure fluctuations and calculates the systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and pulse from this data.
