This product has been specially developed and tested for use with silicone hydrogel lenses. Thanks to a clinical study, a very high wearing comfort of silicone hydrogel contact lenses and the use of Alvera has been proven. Wearing contact lenses can lead to changes in the physiology of the eye tissue. This can lead to the formation of intercellular spaces through which pathogens can enter. Aloe Vera forms a protective film on the cornea and conjunctiva and thus prevents the penetration of these pathogens, which can damage the eye tissue. In this way the risk of irritation is reduced. The product has been specially developed to counteract lipids. Lipids are not only easier to remove, but also less likely to be deposited on the lens surface. Hygiene and wearing comfort of silicone hydrogel contact lenses are thus significantly improved.
