Askina Scar Repair is a self-adhesive occlusive film made of soft silicone. It is designed for the treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloid scars, as well as for the prevention of these scars after surgeries on closed wounds.
The occlusive properties of Askina Scar Repair promote good moisture supply to the skin and scar tissue. This positively influences the renewal process beneath the skin surface and prevents the formation of excessive scar tissue.

Askina Scar Repair is indicated for the treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloid scars and can also be used on closed wounds to prevent hypertrophic or keloid scars after surgery.
It is recommended for the treatment of scars resulting from: closed surgical wounds, closed traumatic wounds, cesarean sections, burns after re-epithelialization.

Instructions for use | The fresh scar should be completely closed and scab-free. Then cut Askina® Scar Repair to the desired size and stick it on. The plaster should extend 1 cm beyond the edges of the scar. Askina® Scar Repair is waterproof and should be worn for 24 hours. The same plaster can be reused several times for 3 to 7 days. To clean the scar, the plaster can be removed and then reapplied. The silicone plasters adhere securely and are comfortable to wear. |
