The Activon tube contains pure 100 % medicinal manuka honey without additives. It is ideal for debridement of necrotic tissue and can also be combined with a wound dressing if the honey content is washed out due to heavy exudation. The tube can also be used very well for wound cavities. Any honey residue is simply rinsed out with a saline solution. Application: Clean the wound thoroughly and dry the surrounding tissue. Ensure that the sterile tube is unopened and undamaged before first use. Twist off the cap and apply the honey generously to the wound bed (surface and cavities). Cover the wound with a suitable secondary dressing. The tube may only be used for one patient at a time and has a shelf life of 90 days after opening. Note: Initially, more exudate may form. This effect is temporary and will diminish over time. Depending on the type of wound and the amount of exudate, a film dressing or an absorbent dressing should be used as a secondary dressing. Indications: Activon Tube can be used for all types of wounds: in combination with wound dressings, as a wound filler, for partial or full-thickness wounds. It is particularly suitable for: infected and/or necrotic wounds; pressure ulcers and ulcus cruris; surgical and/or diabetic wounds; burns; skin removal sites; malodorous wounds.
