3M Tegaderm Alginat is a highly absorbent compress made from sterile calcium alginate fibers. It is used as a primary wound dressing for heavily exuding, covered, or deeper ulcers. The alginate forms a gel-like layer with the wound exudate, encapsulating germs and cellular debris while promoting autolytic wound cleansing.
