Question about LEGO DUPLO Steam Railway

Hello train friends, I gave the LEGO train to my 2-year-old daughter for Christmas. Basically everything runs great and she has a lot of fun with it. The only thing is that pushing the locomotive is a bit difficult from my point of view and when the rails are on a slippery surface such as a parquet floor, they have to be held with one hand and the locomotive pushed with the other. This is beyond the motor skills of my little one and the whole train falls apart before it starts moving, which spoils the fun a bit.
