Once every eight years, the fantastic carnival of Sorcelume lands in your world to bring joy to all villages. Its owners, Mr. Witch and Mr. Light, master the art of spectacle. However, this grand festival harbors many secrets!

The carnival serves as a bridge to a realm of Faerie that is distinctly different from everything the material plane has to offer. Time, however, has not been kind to this realm; dark days lie ahead unless someone disrupts the machinations of the Assembly of the Hourglass.

Beyond the carnival of Sorcelume, designed for characters of levels 1 to 8, the carnival adventures lead to Prismeer, a realm of delights in Faerie. The book includes a large fold-out map that shows the carnival on one side and Prismeer on the other.

Explore the faerie realm in this official D&D adventure, the first that primarily takes place in Faerieland. The adventure begins in the campaign world chosen by the Dungeon Master. The carnival of Sorcelume, the path through which characters reach Faerie, can be easily integrated into any campaign world.

It adds two new character backgrounds: the fairy-tale wayward (for NPCs who grew up in Faerie) and the showman of Sorcelume (for NPCs who work at the carnival). It presents two races: play as a Fadette or a Conil (a type of humanoid rabbit).

In every encounter in the adventure, players have the opportunity to avoid combat by focusing on thinking and interacting. Some famous characters from the 1980s return, including Affreduche, Coeur-vaillant, and Kelek.
