Will Bärtram manage to overcome himself to free himself and his friend Hugo from a tricky situation? A story about overcoming challenges. This book was developed as part of the 'Litkey' project at Ruhr University Bochum. 'Litkey' stands for 'Written Language as a Key to Social Participation.' In this project, funded by the Volkswagen Foundation, we aim to support children in preschool and elementary school age in acquiring grammatical knowledge. The grammatical focus of the book is on the correct use of accusative and dative in directional and locational expressions. Discuss with the children where Bärtram and Hugo or the mouse and the rat can find their costumes and where they need to be put away again. You can read the book in short sections and spend more time discussing the pictures and characters. Improve any not-quite-correct child expressions in conversation by repeating the child's words or sentences correctly and possibly rephrasing them.
