Product details
In the 16th century, the English humanist Thomas More dreamed of a better world. In his main work "Utopia," published in Latin in 1516, he describes a fictional island nation with a society of equals, where there is neither money nor private property. There, it is not the individual that matters, but the collective. At least that is what the supposedly well-traveled companion of Amerigo Vespucci reports, claiming to have seen the paradise island with his own eyes. With a compelling voice, Ulrich Matthes brings this "Utopia" to life, which has become the namesake for an entire literary genre.
